One of the products included in the project “ECO-LOGIC GREEN FARM 2020” is the SPIRULINA (arthorospira platensis), an aquatic microalgae rich in vitamins, minerals, proteins and fatty acids. The product stands out among food supplements thanks to its certified properties, beneficial to the body.
It looks like a clump of stringy and very small (about 1 mm) blue-green leaves. It is unicellular and grows in environments characterized by high temperature and alkaline concentration.
The relevant scientific literature has certified Spirulina as an excellent tonic, invigorating, detoxifying, slimming and anti-inflammatory.
From the analysis of its components, Spirulina proves to be a food containing significant amounts of vitamins, proteins, iron, calcium and beta-carotene: these fine features make of it a highly qualified food product.
It is generally taken orally, in different modes: tablets, capsules, drops, powder or bars.
Its use is important and widespread both in the food and pharmaceutical sectors (medicines and cosmetics based on Spirulina).
